It was not your typical ren faire. It was put on by the Cairo Chamber of Commerce. They do something special in the area each year, they've done hot air balloon festivals in the past. This year they went for a Ren Faire and expect to do it again next year. The businesses in the area sponsor the performers. And because it's in the Catskills, there's a bunch of resorts in the area. They booked 15 rooms at one of them for us.
We typically get fed through the "plague tent" system which has decent food designed to keep you alive. In this case, we received food vouchers we could redeem for food with the food vendors. Tastier by far but not as good at keeping you going. But they kept us in sport drinks and water and bought out the local supermarket of GatorAide and PowerAide by the end of Sunday. They even set up tents for us so we didn't have to set up our own. For these further away shows, we might require things like motel or hotel rooms. We can stick 4 people in a room okay. In this case, we had 2-3 people in a room except for one which had two couples.
