But, you also forgot a point. If this is a feasible way of producing food, then it would also help in the conservation of land. It takes quite a bit of space (i can't remember the actual figure) to "raise" cattle. If this is reduced because lab-grown meat-product, then the left wing would be happy with the newly freed land to be conserved, and the right wing would be happy with all that new space to cultivate (and overpopulate).
Personally, i'd still be vegetarian. But, i'd be happy if this was a way to reduce factory farming, because it's a disgusting, abusive industry.
