Executive Director Position Open
Jan. 16th, 2004 12:34 pmThe Maine Renaissance Faire is seeking a new Executive Director for the 2004 Season. Applicants should possess several years of directorial experience in traditional theater and/or a Renaissance Faire environment. Job responsibilities include overseeing the audition, preparation and direction process for both the stage and street cast of the faire.
The Director will oversee the audition process and the selection of the cast. Once the cast is assembled, the director will be expected to provide some pre-rehearsal workshops on various faire related subjects to help develop both new actor skills as well as hone the skills of more established actors.
There is a four weekend rehearsal process that begins June 18th/19th, with the final weekend July 10th/11th being a full dress rehearsal. The faire then runs for six weekends from July 17th/18th thru Aug 21st/22nd.
The Deadline for application submissions is Friday February 13th, 2004. All applicants should contact Val Davis directly by phone at 207-926-5693. A decision on the new director will be made by March 1st.
