Horsie Update
Aug. 10th, 2004 11:21 amI realize I haven't written anything about my adventures in learning to be a jouster. I'll say, I've come way far since the last time I wrote about it. As it stands now, I'm likely going to be performing in at least one of the shows in CTRF. This could change. It'll be the gaming joust (which is the one where we chop lettuce, spear rings, hit the quintain). It's a bit fun to watch, and fun to do. It will require I refine many of the skills that I've learned but if I'm able to do it, I'll be in that show.
My horse riding skills, in general, have come a long way. A couple of weeks ago, something just clicked and it was like I threw myself over this wall that had been blocking me. Good control of the horse, ability to steer one handed (on a horse that doesn't neck reign), leg commands, balance, etc. It's all coming together.
