The Princess Bride
Mar. 4th, 2005 07:48 amI was reading a web comic this morning (well, reading the archives as I haven't read it in a long time and was waiting for a download to finish) and it made a reference to a line in The Princess Bride.
One of the fans of the comic wrote:
Naturally, many people had already commented on the movie (although people calling Mandy Patinkin's character "Inego montia" really irritated me... it is "Inigo Montoya") but I saw this one thing and nearly popped a blood vessel. I mean, I know this movie is nearly 20 years old (released in 1987, when I was in High School) it never seemed like an obscure movie to me. Most of the people I know have seen it or at least heard of it. Many of these people can quote far too much from it. The idea of having been the only person to see the movie is ludicrous. It's not like we're talking Meet the Feebles here. (Ah Peter, you've come so far.)
