RIP my friend...
Apr. 7th, 2005 07:20 pmYou've been with me since 1997. Since I got my first apartment in Massachuetts (the one in Iowa doesn't count). And now, you will be gone forever. You will be missed. All the movies together and other good times. Parties, small gatherings. You never asked for anything. You stuck with me as I moved around the state. Taking the good with the bad. And now... you will no longer be with me.
My fuckin TV died. I don't know when. The last time I recall it being on is Tuesday night before I went to bed. M was up watching it and could probably tell me if it worked on Wedensday. I don't think I watched TV when I came home Wednesday. Just was doing computer stuff. Just went to turn it on today and... nothing. Everything else plugged in where it's plugged in is working fine but it won't. I moved it to a different plug. I think I can hear something trying to turn on... but in the end, nothing. Was a great TV too. 32" Sony XBR^2. Friend of mine bought it in '95 or '96 and I bought it used from him in '97. Lasted through five moves. My oldest possesion since I sold my bass and amps. Well, I guess I've had my dresser longer but it doesn't count. Had the matching stand and everything. I guess 10 years (or thereabouts) was just a little more than it could take.
So now it's either put the 20" TV from the bedroom in the living room, or move the VCR and DVD player into the bedroom cause I can't afford to replace it. Have to talk to M about that I guess.
