FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT!
Jul. 25th, 2005 11:01 amThis weekend's fight workshop went well. It was the first time I'd driven a fight workshop and it was enlightening. I had my outline with me so I wouldn't forget anything, but even still, there was plenty I'd left out. What I didn't do (like a moron) was take notes on what I'd left out. So hopefully, I can go over things and fill some stuff in and drop some things out. It was a small group the first day, as a result, we covered nearly everything I wanted to work on the first day. Second day was more drilling of basic strikes and parries along with footwork. We also started choreographing fights. I was working on one and managed to eek out the first phrase. But in my attempts to not make the fight repeatative and boring, I blanked while trying to get phrase 2 started. But there were three others fights written over the weekend.
All in all, we've got some good new people and some returning folks who have a good handle on stage combat. Now I've got two weekends off I can actually spend with M and then a show in New York. Then rehearsals for CTRF then CTRF than a show in NJ and then... I forget. I think actual time off.
