Kicking the oil habit

So, I like the idea of kicking the oil habit. It would be great if everyone could go to hybrid or alternative fuel vehicles over the course of a year. But the problem folks like Redford seem to miss is that the majority of Americans can't AFFORD to purchase a new, more fuel efficient, cleaner vehicle. It's the reason people are driving around 20 year old pick-ups and other gas guzzlers. Yes, a lot of people who are currently buying SUVs (soccer moms) could be served just as well in something more fuel efficient. I'd love it if the car I have came in a hybrid.

Ideally, hybrid vehicles and other alternative fuel vehicles will hit the used market at the levels where lower income families can afford them. The irony being these are the same people who can't afford the increased fuel costs we're now seeing. It will be years if not a decade or more before these people can afford a more fuel efficient vehicle.

Cordless Jump Rope
That's right, a jump-rope minus the rope. All that's left is two handles, so you jump over the pretend rope. Or if you are truly lazy, you can pretend to jump over the pretend rope.
