Teen sues MySpace alleging sexual assault
A 14-year-old girl who says she was sexually assaulted by another user of MySpace.com sued the social networking Web site Monday, claiming it does not take sufficient steps to protect underage members.

The girl says a 19-year-old man lied in his profile about being a senior on a football team to gain her trust and phone number.

So, MySpace is supposed to set up lie detectors so people can lie about being younger than they are? What about the teeny boppers who lie about being older than they are? Really, it'll get to the point where they have to have a credit card to sign up and then anyone under 18 won't be able to be on MySpace.

Someone tell me what MySpace can POSSIBLY do and still keep the open forum of communication alive.

This has less to do with protective measures by MySpace and more to do with the irresponsible behavior of a 19 year old and a 14 year old and their parents inability to monitor what it is they do. Their parents are responsible here, not MySpace.

This is just utter BULLSHIT!

"Someone's making money and I'm not... time to sue."
