Bluegrass Time
Jul. 6th, 2009 10:27 pmI shall now shamelessly promote someone who is not me, not my family, and not doing something I'm directly involved with.
Phil Zimmerman, is not only a fantastic musician, but is also an amazing photographer. He also happens to be the Music Director for my father's banjo and mandolin camps.
His book Bluegrass Time is now available and is filled with photos of the greatest pioneers of Bluegrass back when festivals weren't quite as common as they are today. These amazing performers were at their prime. It really is just filled with things many people will never have a chance to see. Check it out. Lots of folks are getting back into Bluegrass music these days and this could become a huge treasure for everyone.
