Apple recalls 1.8 million laptop batteries

The cells in the lithium-ion batteries in the iBook G4 and PowerBook G4 computers - the only two models affected by the recall - were produced by Sony.

Thank you very much! My computer actually falls under this recall. i had also noticed that my computer gets extrordinarily hot when it is on for longer periods!!! Thank you for the info!!!!!

Both of my batteries, the old one and the new one (just bought last month) are the right model, but wrong serial numbers. Damn. I was hoping the old one would be covered and I'd have two nice new ones. Oh well

Where is the serial number listing? My batteries may be included in this. :(
