What a start to the morning...

scullerywench to the airport to head to Ireland. We thought the plane was leaving at 8:45pm. So when we were making stops to get some last few things, I kept telling scullerywench that we had plenty of time to get to the airport. And we did, in fact, get to the airport in plenty of time for an 8:45 flight. The plane was, however, leaving at 8:10pm. Oops. I don't think either of us realized this until she got through the security checkpoint at which time they annouced, "final boarding for Aer Lingus flight 134 with service to Shannon." Not sure it occured to her at the time, but it sure occured to me. Since I did not receive a call from her from the airport, I assumed all was well. She called about 6:30 this morning and asked if I had a calling card to call her back.
Spent about 2 minutes looking for my calling card before chucking it all and just getting another one online. Yay online purchasing. Makes it real easy to spend too much money. But it's worth every penny.
Except when you can't get through.
Dialed the access number, the pin, and the number I was calling and had apparently misdialed. Called again gotscullerywench's voice mail. Called again and apparently misdialed. Called again and hit send after typing the pin. Called again and got voice mail. Called again and got "all circuits busy". This was the theme for the morning. Finally we talked a little bit and scullerywench was heading off to sleep and I was heading to work.
Got to work and managed to delete all my AIM contacts. So if you see me online and want me to be able to chat with you, just send me an IM and I'll readd you.
I feel like a tool today.
