Paris Hilton won't be charged for stealing her own sex tape. The obsurdity of this is just amazing.

Casino Royale will be the next James Bond movie. Casino Royale was a bond movie spoof made in 1967 staring David Niven. What the article doesn't mention is that Casino Royale is an actual Bond book written by Ian Flemming. The spoof version also had Woody Allen and Peter Sellers in it. It also had Ursula Andress who played the original Bond girl in Dr. No, the first Bond film. (Although I think Casino Royale may have been the first Bond novel, I'm unsure of this.) She and Maud Adams (Octopussy and The Man with the Golden Gun) are the only two "repeat" Bond girls. Anyway, I believe (along with Never Say Never Again) it was produced by a different movie house than the other gazillion Bond films. And it appears to represent a return to the Ian Flemmin novels. Guess that's cause everything since has kind of sucked. I didn't even see the last Bond film... maybe last two...

Meanwhile, Family Guy creator, Seth MacFarlane, has a new cartoon on FOX. I really enjoy Family Guy. I didn't watch it when it was first on, but M's sister has the DVDs for the shows and we watch it all the time.

Yep, "Casino Royale" was Fleming's first book, published I think in 1953. And yes, Ursula Andress was in it, as well has having been in "Dr. No." Of course, they've used Fleming's titles for Bond movies before that have had nothing to do with the book of the same name ("Moonraker", anyone?), so it'll be interesting to see if "Casino Royale" is at all similar to the novel. These days, since 007 has to compete with Vin Diesel and The Rock, they're pretty much required to be action extravaganzas, so I'm not holding my breath. On a good note, they've said that Martin Campbell, director of (among other things) "Goldeneye" will be returning to the helm for this one, so there is hope. . .

And I don't care if people say that "American Dad" is a "Family Guy" ripoff! So what if the father is a cross between Joe and Quagmire? If you have to imitate something, I'd rather see a "Family Guy" clone than just about anything else. And it premieres after the Super Bowl, just like "Family Guy" did in 1999. . .
