Man, those Irish guys will gamble on anything. I wonder what kind of odds I could get if I wanted to put some money down on Bernie Law? Zillion-to-one, perhaps? Think of the payout. . .
It might appear that way, but Pope John Paul II wasn't on anyones list either, but he made it, and his was the 3rd longest time as Pope. technically you don't even need to be baptized to be Pope, though I you do have to be older than 60, or maybe 50 I think. And a man, which is sad because it means my Gram can't be the next Pope.
