The Christmas Light Show From HELL!

This person, whoever they are, has some pretty fancy sound and light equipment. Clearly they've got the sound system that is synced to the light system plugged right into their video camera. Or they've got fancy editing software and hardware too. Looks like someone took the kind of light gear they program for concerts and stuff and rigged it up to Xmas lights.

And at times... the house look like a face.

I know where this kind of programming stuff is purchased. I have priced it out. ;)

Where? Where?

Husband is entertaining the thought.

I guess he bought the reason that the Landscaper must ALWAYS have the best yard on the street.

One place to learn to make your own controllers is 'Make Zine' - good place. A link is here:
http://www.instructables.com/ex/i/1F2CBE64BAFE10289B50001143E7E506/?ALLSTEPS

but they also had some 'build your own' relays in their issue #3, possibly still on newstands, but certainly from amazon.com. I lost a bunch of bookmarks in an 'upgrade' and can't find the link to the place with the controllers, but they ARE out there. If I find them, I'll let ya know.

The following three links should really help you annoy the neighbors.

http://www.planetchristmas.com/
http://www.lightorama.com/
http://www.animatedlighting.com/

I'm holding out on any more christmas light purchases until I can purchase LEDs exclusively. There's no point in measuring a display in kilowatts if you can measure it in less...

I will now cease my hijacking of the comments in prowler1971's thread. Sorry Prowler ;)

Nice piece of video editing. Though the creator clearly shouldn't be allowed out without close supervision; Rob Zombie wishes that his films were half this disturbing..!

It's actually sequenced that way.

The music is by a group called the Tans-Siberian Orchestra (http://www.trans-siberian.com/).

They're performing at the Hampton Coliseum Nov. 30th.

I figured as much. But wasn't certain.

I WANT IT!!!!!!

I love Tran-Siberian Orchestra! With a name like NOEL and a kid born on Yule, how could I NOT???!!!???

I just have to add in my 6ft long 4ft high lighted NOEL sign into the mix.

Ironically, my street is the Christmas light street (which we didn't know when we bought the house) and all our neighbors compete against each other for the most awesome looking yard.

That's not irony. It's coincidence.

No such thing as coincidence ;)

Even if that were true, it wouldn't make it irony.
