Just Another Ride

Another lovely night on the trails. I rode a different horse again. This one was a mare named Elsie. Elsie had apparently been bought and then recently returned back to Bobby's Ranch when they realized they couldn't afford her. She was a fiesty horse. Really didn't like the bit in her mouth. I thought I was in trouble. This was compounded by the fact the stirups never felt even, the saddle was drifing to the right, and the leather strap for the saddle had it's knot right under my left knee, which also had a brace on it. So I was in pain throughout the whole ride. I posted well when I could but my right knee was taking the strain. Ocverall, it was a good night but I always felt like I was going to fall off.

Still, I'm looking forward to next week. Also looking forward to getting my voice back. I strained it over the weekend. Feh.
