So, in the wake of several recent MEMEs, most notably the "action figure/doll" MEME, I've come to realize that I know a lot of people who know very little about me. I'm associated with one particular group with cutlasses which means they associate me with Alfredo of The Good, The Bad and The Ugly. So this got me thinking about how little I know about other people I work with. I try to learn as I go.

So here's the dealio, ask me any number of questions you'd like about anything and I'll do my best to answer them. I'm turned off screened comments but I still don't allow anonymous. I'm rather curious to see what people want to know about me, and what I'm willing to share.

What do you do for fun other than faires and such?

I used to enjoy movies, concerts and TV. I don't much of those anymore. I still enjoy movies and TV but I find I'd rather spend qualify time with [livejournal.com profile] scullerywench. Should she be busy, there's the ole default. I also like to play guitar. I'm not very good despite playing for many years. I should consider practicing once in a while. :) I make chainmaile and I used to LARP. The former is a result of the latter, and I don't LARP anymore. I enjoy hockey and baseball on TV and I'd enjoy playing Ice Hockey again, despite the fact I can barely skate. I've been so busy that I haven't had a lot of time for recreation. And now with [livejournal.com profile] scullerywench in my life, I find I'd rather spend time with her than do anything else. Since we've been dating, I've been to see "Chicago" (the band you nitwits) and I've been to the Opera. We have a lot of fun together. I'm a heavy computer user but I've been moving away from it. I like the occasional computer game but due to CTS, I don't play as often as I used to.

What's your favorite food?

Chinese and Indian food. [livejournal.com profile] scullerywench isn't a big fan of Indian so I don't have it that often, that makes it a little extra special.

favorite music?

It varies. I like music that is "fun" in one way or another. Fun to sing or fun to listen to. Funny lyrics or work songs. Sing-a-longs. I like my classic rock but I also like bluegrass and old time music.

favorite movie?

I don't think I have a single favorite movie. My favorite genre is comedy. At one point I thought it was sci-fi but newer sci-fi turns me off. But I always love a good laugh. Unfortunately, stupid has replaced funny in a lot of movies. I'm jaded.

favorite book?

The Star Wars series of books. The "expanded univierse" has been great reading for me. After that, the "Spencer" novels from Robert Parker.

Background on these questions... )

what do you miss most about RCN-Marlboro?

Lunch. Sounds kind of silly doesn't it? But lunch was when we all got to go out, relax and just chill. For a long time I could from home but I came into the office so I could go to lunch with you and the others. It was like a ritual. Plus there were so many great places to go for lunch, even if it was just walking to Victory. I guess in a broader sense, it was the friends I made there. There was an amazing feeling of acceptence. It made the job stress worthwhile. I also miss making my own hours, but not as much as the friends.

what do you miss least?

The smokers from Conversent who would huddle around that one door and not get out of anyone's way. Why not smoke where the ashtray is? Or where the smoking area is? Instead, they have a giant cloud of smoke surrounding a door we had to walk through. I guess I could have gone around but why should I be inconveinenced by people breaking the rules? We had our share of smokers too, but they would do novel things like... move out of the way or not huddle in the doorway or *gasp* hold a door open for you when your hands were full.
