In this post I was talking about Congress and the potential move to slash the budget for Public Broadcasting.

http://www.moveon.org/front posted this:

Congress Votes to Restore $100 Million to the Corporation for Public Broadcasting
Statement by Eli Pariser, Executive Director of MoveOn.org
We are delighted that we were able to help restore some of the cuts made to NPR and PBS. MoveOn.org members sent in more than 1 million comments and made more than 40,000 calls to tell Congress to save Big Bird and Mr. Rogers. We are glad to have helped protect such an important service.

And a CNN article on the matter.

So either moveon.org really does make a difference, or they just think they do. Either way, next time, I may sign the online petition. But I certainly won't leave it at that.

At least that's the weather forecast for the opening day of the Vermont Renaissance Festival. High temperature of 96 degrees, and the pollen count too. At least they say it's on the rize which is bad news for this performer. Yay Claritin and Nasonex.

This is going to be odd. It'll be the first time I've gone on to do a GBU show without "Devon". His stand-in for the run, "Edward" is doing great and by acknowledging he's NOT "Devon" it allows us to play on some new jokes, even if it is an old show. So come see us, The Good, The Bad and The Ugly, this weekend and for the three after it. We're on at 11:30am and 2:30pm. I have no idea where though so pick up a schedule when you get there.

It's also odd because this is the first year in a long time that I am not part of the final combat show of the day. I will be the final two weekends performing as part of ATACC. And, I'll be squiring during the second weekend for Paragon Jousting. Well, I got one light weekend anyway. :)
