Baseball question...
Jun. 2nd, 2006 08:02 pmBaseball is an interesting. The rules seem to change based on situations.
With less than 2 outs, there's a man on 1st. The batter hits the ball. They take the force out at 2nd and the batter reaches safely. This is scored a "fielder's choice". My understanding is this does not effect the batter's batting average. It is considered an "plate appearance" but not an "at bat".
What if there are two outs? Is it still a fielder's choice?
