S and I saw it last night, too. Good, solid movie, definitely worth seeing in the theater.

James Marsden DOES look weird with eyes. I thought Kate Bosworth was a decent modern Lois Lane. She's got those independent sensibilities, while still sensitive. It is clear her toughness was a defense mechanism to falling for a guy who then left her without so much of a "see you in 5 years."

Parker Posey was wasted in this movie. I was disappointed with her lines and scenes. They gave her that same weird Pomeranian dog as in Blade III Trinity. I kept thinging she was going to eat it. Or IT was going to eat THEM. All she did was cry and hug the vamp dog.

Kevin Spacey was good. He wasn't as evil as I would have liked him to be. Some critics are shouting "Oscar." I don't think so. But he pulls off the urbane, egomaniacal, superbrain bad guy very well.

I very much liked the costumes. It was all modern, all if it you've seen SOMEBODY wear in an office somewhere, but they stayed true to the '50's style, especially with Lois. High pumps, long fitted skirts, blouses, vests nipped at the waist...They idd a very good job of blending 21st century technology and fashion while staying true to the iconic sensibilites of the '50s.

Re Brandon Routh: I read a 6'4" Tom Cruise type. He did a good job. Better costuming, and he had more of the superhero body than Christopher Reeve did. And they made him confused, a bit morally conflicted. Good.

Anybody catch the Spiderman preview? Looks like they are going dark with that next summer. Yay!
