...but I'm unsure this woman got ENOUGH time behind bars.

Mother gets 40 years for child abuse
A woman who molested at least one of her five children and prompted four of them to have sex with each other has been sentenced to 40 years in prison.

She's still an angel compared to her husband.
In March, Paul Kraft received five life sentences on five rape charges and 96 additional years on 12 charges of pandering sexually oriented material involving a minor. He is ineligible for parole.
In an online exchange, Kraft offered to rape his 3-year-old daughter live on the Internet if another person would do the same so Kraft could watch, prosecutors say. The agent contacted Hamilton County sheriff's deputies, who arrested Kraft at home.

There should be a special place in hell for people like this. Death is too good for them. The only thing that can possibly make me feel good about this is the many stories of violent prison rape, especially for child molestors.

Any years behind bars is too many for either of these two.

I have a rope.

No, a rope is too good for him. Behind bars, he will experience what his children went through, over and over and over...

1. He might like it.
2. There's better uses for tax money.

1. Then they're not doing it right.

2. I was informed once by a lawyer friend that it actually costs MORE to execute someone than to keep them in prison for the rest of their life. I don't know if it's still true or not. It has to do with the cost of the endless appeals and such.

It does cost more to keep someone on death row in most cases than to lock 'em up for life, due do the cost of the automatic appeals that occur in most jurisdictions when capital punishment is imposed. It almost defeats the purpose. Still, I'd rather see these people get put away for good and have to face prison justice. No prohibitions against cruel and unusual punishment there. . .

I've often wondered if that happens continuously or if its more of a "hey scumbag, welcome to prison" type rape. I know its a little inhuman of me, but if he only gets gang raped a few times then joins some group that protects him, I think thats not nearly enough. I'd personally like to know that he's being raped continuously for the rest of his life, at least once every week or two and a good beating every week or so as well, to feel like he's really getting his due.

I wonder if there is any way to monitor that?

I had a roommate who is a corrections officer. The child molestors and rapists get a special kind of torture when they get there. Turns out drug dealers and murders have wives and children too and don't particularly like the "skinners" and "diddlers".

He'll probably get shanked at some point.

When I was in high school, my psychology class took a field trip to the Bridgewater State Prison. One of the things that the inmates told us is that the guys behind bars have no respect for two types of people, guys that beatup their women, and guys that molest little children. One of the guys said that usually after a couple of months, the new guy usually has to go in to solitary confinement not because he's done something wrong, but for his own protection.
